We were energized at the end of the semester by receiving word that Christopher has been named a Faculty Fellow at the The Center for Persons with Disabilities, Utah’s University Center of Excellence. According to the announcement, “The CPD Faculty Fellows program is a means of acknowledging and celebrating involvement with the CPD and its many service, research and educational programs. It provides a mechanism for being part of a broad interdisciplinary group of academicians addressing some of the world’s most challenging social issues and to have their work recognized.”
It is a tremendous opportunity for a visual artist/advocate to participate in the Association of University Centers on Disability and in the University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities Education, Research, and Service (UCEDD) network. We are exceptionally grateful to the CPD for helping to build the needed momentum for Evidence and Artifacts: Facing Autism’s continued growth and impact in 2012-2013.
